Thanks to films like An Inconvenient Truth and the efforts of environmentalists to make people more aware of the consequences of global warming, it appears that many are finally starting to incorporate a few environmentally friendly habits into their daily routines. South Floridians in particular are mindful of rising gas prices and their negative effects and seem to be driving less or investing more heavily in hybrid vehicles.

On March 29 just about everything except for the essential traffic and pedestrian lights will go dark for an hour in a multinational effort to show the importance of energy conservation.
